“Mötley Crüe , Def Leppard, Skid Row, Ratt, Cinderella, Poison, and the guy that started the trend, Jon Bon Jovi are to blame! Hair Bands filled arenas, dominated MTV, and made rockstars out of bands that embraced both heavy riffs and over-the-top theatrics. Yep, this week we salute hair bands of the 80s. On the only national radio show that was actually THERE, Metalshop.”

From 1984 to 1995, Charlie Kendall was a driving force of the metal revolution as he hosted this iconic program on over 250 stations. Now, he’s teamed with Producers Corey Harker and Chris Akin to deliver all-new shows to a worldwide audience that celebrates and enjoys the music of the wild and the young.
Charlie Kendall’s Metalshop combines the show’s vintage feature segments with fresh content, music from then and now, new and classic interviews with hard rock heroes, and that same voice and attitude that made the program a cornerstone of that culture.
“I’ve thought about it for years,” Kendall says, “and I’ve finally found the right fit and the right people to make it happen. It’s come full circle – and Metalshop is back.”
