How does he not have his own money....I mean it sucks that he got in a wreck and shit but.....He needs fans to bail him out......Did Deftones not make a dime???? i find that hard to believe.........Why can't all these bands just chip in and i fucking know Fieldy has money $$ and help Chi out.

yes but if he in fact has been in a coma for a year, that is a HELL of a lot of money for the family to keep him on life support and in the hospital to pay for such care. I mean the deftones were successful, but not THAT successful where they can pay for this no problem. And you really cant expect fellow band friends to just throw money at his family and for everything to be alright. Im sure they have done all they can, and this song is to help pay for the insurance and the bills , etc.
.. i don't understand? all these famous nu-metal bands are in on this project.. but none of them have helped pay for his bills? i mean nu-metal was HUGE, surely they would of helped him out..if he meant that much to them??

oh... I thought he was ok. well, that sucks. I like deftones. white pony is amazing and their live performance is very cool. If a friend of mine was in that state, and I was a rockstar, I would immediately sell all my expensive cars and put all the fancy gear that I got on ebay for half of the price. It would totally cover the $100.000 he needs.

It's also crazy in that video where Head from Korn said something like Chi has given everything to you(fans) now it's time for you to give back......please Chi would be living in a hut somewhere if it wasn't for those people giving every album, every tour. .....That's what bands are a Charity basically atleast it seemed like it when I was in one...lol
I agree the track seems hastily put together, and disorganized, but it's still interesting... especially Adam D's contribution.
Anyway, as far as the band members, money, etc. - how do you guys know they haven't already chipped in? They're trying to help Chi's family pay the massive medical bills, and one of the easiest ways is to get lots of people to chip in a little bit of money. Nothing wrong with "crowdsourcing."
The average price for staying in an ICU is $7000 USD per day, guys!
If you guys are so impassioned about rallying against this, then make sure you all assign a durable power of attorney, in case you might end up in a situation like Chi Cheng, a loved one can at least have the ability to say "enough is enough" and pull the plug. Terrible decision to have to make, but it's important to consider these things.
