I could download the demo of the new version of Megadeth's song which is going to appear on the new album.
Now is kind of a duet with Christina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil, and I have to point a couple of things in advance:
a) I love the original, and I meant it. One of my favorite all-time Megadeth songs and great spiritual lyrics IMO.
b) I love Lillo's vocals specially in old LC albums ("Karmacode" is a piece of crap), so I had great expectations for this collaboration.
Now the new song (remember is a demo) is not bad, but lacks something. The original I feel is more emotive, this one I feel it faster, the mix of the vocals is not well accomplished, and sense less emotion in Lillo's vocals. Dave on the other hand sounds very good (wonder is he just took the original tapes) and the song still rocks overall.
I guess now will be a matter of waiting for "United Abominations" to leak to check the final product.
