I have a review and interview coming on this, so I won't give away much of my opinion.

What's everybody else think?

Pretty drastic change from the old stuff. Good or bad?

Prime Evil of Mysticum on vocals and Faust on drums. No more drum machines.

The samples don't impress me at all. With no Human Intervention is probably better but I'm not too fond of it either. I'm no specialist anyway..

I like what Aborym is trying to do, With No Human Intervention was really original me thinks ... I mean to mix just pure evil BM with kind of techno grooves and pull it off ... no small feat.

These 2 tracks sound a bit like they are going backwards, toward more traditional styles, not bad, but I like the "futuristic" sound of WNHI better.

Yes. This album is definitely more traditional.

To be honest, I'm split as to whether or not I like this as much as their old stuff. I have no doubt that 10 years from now I'd rather listen to Fire Walk With Us!, but this album is still a very solid album.

So far this year could be great for BM. Wolves, Aborym, Darkthrone, Thralldom, Leviathan splits, Xasthur splits, Drudkh, and on and on.

mysticum was better

but yeah i don't hate this

Yes. Thanks for the reco of the album download for In the Streams of Inferno. Wasn't that album released in the mid 90's? If so, it is easily one of the most importan BM albums of the 90's. That style is just now REALLY taking off.

these guys look like real trouble too ... :loco: ... I don't know how to explain it, but they are definetelly like some uber-underground darkside misfits ... walking like they talkin'

A while back they had a post on their website about needing a new bass player or something.

They requested that females and fags not even apply (among a bunch of other discriminations).

The funny thing is that if you talk to them on message boards or by email, they're just as nice as can be.

finally got a chance to sit through this whole thing ... wow ... this is certainly different than WNHI ... there is some funky stuff on here, with some more generic straight forward compositions ... nevertheless still Aborym style weird ...
but I still feel this disc is a step backwards ... while not bad.

In an interview the band said they had done everything they could with the style of the past, and they had to move backwards to move forward. Sounds funny, but makes sense.

ok, I'll accept that from them ... as it fits their style of weirdness :loco:
but I sooo like the modern feel of WNHI

With No Human Intervention should have been better. I loved the potential but just didn't love the music.

Listening to the samples...
