? about old Entombed

Clandestine is equal musically to left hand path if not better and still death metal. Clandestine is just like left hand path just overall more extreme. The big difference is that L-G is not on vocals. Drummer Nicke Andersson does vocals and they're actually very fitting for the music or i'm just use too it.

I still don't have Clandestine, You'll Never See, Indecent And Obscene, and Where No Life Dwells...I should pick these up soon.

Clandestine is pretty good, not what I would consider one of death metal's best albums, but it is decent. I really like the crisp guitar tone used on the album, and the track 'Chaos Breed' in particular is a fun memorable thrashy death metal number.

Fucking right, I have all of these. :kickass:

I agree with Solipsist on Clandestine. And if every song on Left Hand Path was as good as the title track, it'd be fucking amazing. Alas, I find it drops steadily in quality after that, but it's still a decent listen.

Unlocked because someone complained.

Let's see some discussion here.

I still don't get why you locked the banned Slayer in India thread, it would have had far more interesting discussion than a thread about 2 Entombed albums.

Anyway yes, Clandestine is a classic. Probably slightly better than Left Hand Path.

I need to check out some of their stuff after that when they brought in the rock element, does anyone know which is the best of those albums? I heard Wolverine Blues is good.

I sampled Enslaved recently. All I can say if Enslaved has an amazing vocalist off that Left Hand Path album. It could probably produce earthquakes in the rictor scale range of about 7.0 if the vocalist is not careful.

Incredible album, best work Dismember has produced imo.
Whoah...

sticking to subject, Clandestine flows effortlessly from song to song, its one brutal piece of death metal that you just have to bang your head to. Sinners Bleed!:headbang:

This post deserves more recognition.

This album is where matti's vocals start to really get crappy and hardcorish. I really liked his vocals in Carnage and majority of the time just can't stomach them in dismember. Like An Everflowing Stream is Dismember's best work. I prefere dark recollections. I think at some point David Blomqvist started leaving his death metal roots as a guitarist. I like melody but listening to dismember sometimes makes me cringe. All of his bends in notes sound the same.
