As well as the new MetallicA album, I'm excited about this one as well! Have these two bands ever released an album the same year before? Or this close to each other at the same time of year, like now?

AC/DC was probably the first 'cool' thing I ever got into as a youngster. At one point, I had every album on CD (and many on cassette, picked up from local pawn shops), though I never even HEARD the 'Stiff Upper Lip' album (I think I was in a norse black metal only phase at the time it was released). Looking forward to hearing this one though! :kickass:

Please discuss your thoughts about all that is AC/DC!

Yeah, I'm a bit curious to hear this-- I don't think I've ever heard Stiff Upper Lip either, and although I own the rest of the stuff, I don't spin Blow Up Your Video, Ballbreaker, or The Razor's Edge too often.

I read that this album is going to be one of those "Walmart only" albums or something-- apparently the bands that have been doing it have been doing fairly well with whatever deal they've worked out.

I have great memories of seeing AC/DC-- it was the first or second night of high school, 1986 on the Who Made Who tour with Queensryche opening. None of my friends wanted to go, so my parents drove just me 100 miles away to Bismarck, ND. While we were headed up the street to the Civic Center, we saw two guys helping their buddy shoot up. Needless to say my parents weren't that happy, as by appearance these fellas were headed to the show. After I got to the civic center and walked around a bit, I made my way to the floor, where I turned a corner and walked directly into the guy that had been shooting up. After all the anti-drug indoctrination from school, I was sure this guy was going to go angel dust on me and eat my face off or something, but of course nothing happened.

I remember the big-ass cannons they used for the encore of "For Those About To Rock"-- probably some of the loudest shit I've heard in my life, and I spent 3 years on an Abrams tank. My parents were parked a block away from the civic center when they noticed the the glass doors shaking in conjunction with the blasts.
