and I'll be there!

O yea! After more than 25 years I will be seeing Accept perform live again. It's been way to long but now the time is right.

Their new singer Mark Tornillo kicks ass and I can't wait to see and hear him live!

Live report will follow! :headbang:

Thanks Bryant. It will don't worry. I will meet them as well. I am really be looking forward to that.

I'll send them a big fucking hello from you! And tell them the biggest Accept fan in the world will be very happy to see them in Atlanta!!

In spite of my skepticism about this reincarnation of Accept, I´ll be in Madrid gig next friday :headbang:.

Tell us about the show Hawk.

Have a great time Hawk! They were great a few weeks ago here in NYC. Awaiting your review, as always....

Thanks buddy. I am really looking forward to the show.

So there I was in Uden to see Accept for the first time in some 25 years. The place was filled for 2/3th but the crowd was eager to go. Just before they went on stage I learned that there would be no support act. Then the intro music started and the show was on with "Metal Heart"! The crowd was singing along but also holding back a little.

Next up was "Restless and Wild

Now the atmosphere was a lot better! You could see that especially Wolf was really enjoying himself but the rest of the band was enjoying themselves as well.. "Son of a Bitch was following:

Mark Tornillo was screaming his head of and he sounded great doing it! I was in the second row right before Wolf. The longer the gig lasted the more the crowd got involved. After a hour the band did not need to do the gang vocals because the crowd was singing them for the band. As you can hear from the video clips the sound was great and not too loud.

The first encore was "Fast as a Shark".

Then after a few songs the concert was over. but not the night because after some 30 minutes the band was back in the hall to meet the fans, talk, take pictures and give autographs. I talked to Wolf and Peter, both did not recognize me, and told Wolf about Bryant, the biggest Accept fan on the planet, and his eyes lighted up when he heard my story. His reply; "then I am looking forward to meet him". :)

So that's it. It was a damn good gig and I really enjoyed myself. The band sounded tight and I was impressed by Mark. Although I must admit he sounded a bit tired at the end of that monstrous set-list.

If you get a chance to see them don't miss it! You be missing out if you don't!!

Talking about the set-list; here it is. I might have a song or two wrong. My memory is not that great. :)

Just came from Madrid gig. Firstly it was a pity that venue wasn´t pack. 550/750 more or less but very supportive like always here in Spain.

Secondly it´s a shame because this venue closes its doors at 11 p.m. Show started at 9:00 p.m. and Accept is playing more than 2 hours on this tour. Because of that they dropped "Abyss", "Winterdreams" and "Flash rockin´ man"

I was skeptic with these revamped Accept with Tornillo on vocals but I must confess now that the gig was overwhelming. They played straight from the heart, no pauses, just kicking serious asses. Tornillo had difficulties in some songs (curiously in the rocker ones like "Burnin´" or "I´m a rebel") but did a better job than I expected.

Wolf and Peter were in top form, a 100% into their leading role, running, jumping, smiling...

Great, great show :headbang: Greatest moments: "Restless and wild", "Run if you can" and "Neon nights".

Set list in order:

# Metal Heart

Great review Henri !! Did you remind them of who you are ? Did they remember you from their early years ?

I appreciate you mentioning me, but they will get enough of Bryant ha ha ha. I have backstage passes and access to sound checks etc. I am 41 years old, so I don't think I will act like a goofy teenage fanboy, but then again Wolf has been biggest guitar hero from 25 years back. It isn't really much different with Peter either. Although I am a "guitarist" by trade, Peter's bass playing is at the same level as Wolf's guitar playing. He is incredible.
Having said that, I have met Ronnie Dio (RIP) Yngwie (actually very pleasant and humble to his fans believe it or not,) The Vanden Plas guys, Pagan's Mind's guys and Urban Breed. The list goes on and on, but those particular guys I am/was in awe at their musical talent.

Glad you were impressed by Accept, especially considering all of them were sick. They had to go to the hospital in the Netherlands the next morning and had to cancel the Paris show. I have heard many videos from their various shows and Mark isn't perfect on all of the songs, but he goes for some really high notes and nails those. Mark has to work his butt off singing Udo especially the early stuff from Breaker and R&W.

They don't do too bad for a bunch of old men !!! I can't wait until September.
