Iron Maiden's...there's no doubt about it, Cob's version is good, but compared to Maiden's...it sucks.

Why does it suck next to Maidens? Just cause it's Maiden doesn't mean theres HAS to be the best...sure, you can't compare Alexi's vocals to Bruces, Alexi's vocals are pretty poor, but musically, I prefer it...it's faster, the solo is better, it's got a heavier, better production...

Well, Iron Maiden has been my number one since I started listen to metal. That's reason 1.
Reason 2: Better production yes, 'cause it is released in 2001 and Maidens is in 1984. Fastness ruins the song and so does solo too... Of course this is my own opinion. It just don't sound good in my ears as good as Maiden's.
Original is always better, whatever you say.

I read through this thread and I'm left scratching my head (hey, that rhymed)...
How could ANYONE with a pulse & brainwaves feel or think that CoB's cover is BETTER than the original? I mean, I usually have something witty to say, but I'm mindboggled at this one.
It's pretty damned funny though...

The original of course!!! Although im not knocking CoB's version, it rocks too! But when it comes to Iron Maiden and the bands that cover them.. The original wins out... 95% of the time

Well, most people here really LOVE Children of Bodom, and they think that Children of Bodom rules over all of them. But for me, I like both.
