David Ellefson, alongside co-host Joshua Toomey, recently launched The David Ellefson Show podcast, a bi-weekly show available on YouTube and major streaming platforms. The new episode is available now.
Description: In this episode, members of the all-star band Close Enemies – featuring Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith), Tony Brock (The Babys), Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow), Trace Foster (AC/DC’s tech guru), and Chasen Hampton – talk about how the band came together and why the name works, even though they’re all tight friends. They share hilarious stories about naming struggles (yes, “Blitzkrieg Butthole” was discussed), old-school touring memories, and what still drives them to create music. The guys reminisce on the golden era of rock – Midnight Special, chart rivalries, and UFO’s Strangers In The Night. Plus, find out how one hotel hallway chat changed everything for Close Enemies.
Watch the YouTube video below, and also catch the new episode at Apple Podcasts.
Close Enemies recently released their new single, “Sweet Baby Jesus”, via TLG|ROCK, distributed through Virgin Music Group.
The band commented, “We’ve all seen them, those drop dead gorgeous beings that make you declare ‘sweet baby Jesus!.’ This is one of those encounters, set to a slinky groove layered with swampy guitar and slathered in barbecue sauce.”
