I grew up on Aerosmith, ever since they first came out. I used to have their debut album and "Toys In The Attic" on 8-track. I still have my LP albums, though.

Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones make musicly simple music (poppy and catchy), with little or no motivation (except Dream On), and are grossly over rated. Leading me to have severe hatred towards both bands.

A lot of the 70's material is really fucking good. Then they got gay.

I liked em more when they were young, inspired, had attitude, and were (d)rug addicts.

AeroSmith were at one time my favorite band in the 70's. I would'nt buy anything they have done from 80's on. Best albums IMO, are their first one, Get your Wings, Toys in the Attic and Rocks. Stay away from the rest.

WTF? Toys in the attic is the 3rd album made by Aerosmith, the first album was simply titeled Aerosmith.

I really like Aerosmith, have heard pretty much everything they've given out before Just push play, that album really sucked btw.
The best albums is without doubt the first four (Aerosmith, Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic and Rocks) altough several of the later albums is good too Draw the line in particular although P.U.M.P, Get a Grip and Nine Lives also have their moments.
The thread poster mentioned the ballads from Get a Grip, these are quite good but songs like You see me crying, Janies got a gun, Blind man etc. is in my opinion better... Matter of taste i guess.

Agreed! Yeah, they definitely went downhill when they went on the wagon. Nor does it help that they've become corporate sellouts. I'll always love their pre-1980's material, but there's no way I can bring myself to buy their more recent albums.

I said their debut album and their "Toys In The Attic" album. I guess maybe I should've clarified that better.

Aerosmith was one of the first bands that I liked. I still like them but not to the same extent. My favourite Aerosmith songs are Mama Kin, and F.I.N.E.. The rest are okay or good as well except for the Run DMC version of Walk This Way which I detest because they completely violated the song. Sex offenders get more time for lesser crimes than that version of the song.
