What do you think of Aeternus, the excellent dark metal band ?

Dunno they're ok I never really got into them...they've got some good ideas but dunno jus never quite pulled off a real quality album.

Can't enjoy their newer stuff at all, I mainly listen to And So the Night Became and Beyond the Wandering Moon.

All I have is ...And So the Night Became and it's an enjoyable listen.

I had ...And the Night Became, it was good but overall too samey and repetitive to these ears. Some tracks would've worked better had they cut them in half (a complaint also leveled at Dawn's otherwise-very-good album Slaughtersun).

"Beyond the Wandering Moon" is absolutely mandatory, and easily one of the best black metal albums ever made.

I haven't heard any stuff beyond And So The Night Became, but those two albums are stellar.

I'd peg em more as being just as much death metal as black metal though.

In terms of sound/production, ASTNB is definitely up there in my top 3.

Yea, they haven't been much in their element since the first two albums. Those two are excellent though.

The BM albums are essential, the first DM album is solid and the rest of their stuff is shit.
