I think Agalloch and Opeth are very different bands and should not be compared. Agalloch seem to me draw a lot of influence from Pink Floyd. My only problem with Agalloch is the terrible fucking "harsh" vocals. The clean I like, but the others sound too forced.

you`re right as well deed. but agalloch are nothing like ulver. different atmosphere, different text work.

i think they are very similar to ulver. still doing thier own thing though.

in my mind, Agalloch is America's Ulver. but that's just me.

although Ulver does seem to have a bit more attitude than Agalloch on Bergtatt.
