Underappreciated and underrated! I've been a fan since the early years with these guys. They have released so much strong material yet you seldom hear their name mentioned along with thrash greats...
I havent heard the new one, Alienigma - I noticed its receiving mixed reviews.
They've got a solid history and Bruce was a good replacement on vox. Speaking of vox, perhaps the reason they arent spoken of much is because the high vocals put people off? Personally, was never a big fan of them but I find myself enjoying them more and more these days.
Order of the Illuminati was really cool but one thing that annoyed me about it was they use a cymbal that grates on my ears, it has this odd ring that I've not heard elsewhere before...
I was a huge fan of the early Agent Steel work , mostly just becouse of the high pitch vocals from Cyriis. Wonder if Cyriis ever will turn up somewhere ?? After he left I kinda lost interest in Agent Steel. I haven't heard most of the newer material though, so hard for me to say I like them or not at this moment.
Yeah the almost "nasal" style was a bit strange but after hearing him hit the notes on 144,000 Gone (think that's the song) I was sold, as I was already a fan of the King and couldn't get enough of the high stuff. I did like the way they layered the vocals, almost as if there were two. I actually thought there were two when I first heard them
