Having been a staple in the NYHC scene since 1983, Agnostic Front have definitely been around, and Another Voice is no less than their 13th album and their first since 02's Working Class Heroes. Another Voice sees the band continuing in a similar vein as always, battering hardcore with a slightly metallic feel - is Another Voice perhaps a retred of the style on 92's One Voice?

While what's on offer from this platter is by no means revolutionary, and followers of their more modern contemporaries may find Another Voice a little tiresome, their experience is certainly evident throughout. Tracks such as 'Pure to Me' and single choice 'Peace' exhibit hardcore at the top of its game; the vocals of Roger Miret are as disgruntled as ever as he spouts his usual politically charged rants about 'the streets' and soforth, and even if his odd punky shouts can be an aquired taste, they're no less effective for it. Agnostic Front occasionally delve into metal-orientated territory with some nicely placed leads in places, perhaps as a nod to this current tendency amongst its peers.

With a crisp, punchy production courtesy of Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta (who also provides some vocals on the aforementioned 'Peace'), Another Voice is a worthy addition to Agnostic Front's catalogue. The occasional descents into self/scene reference on tracks like 'Hardcore! (The Definiton)' may seem very punk, but Another Voice is a decent slice of metallic-hardcore all the same.
