the movie is about a bunch of psychics waging war...they can maniuplate other peoples bodies and such...not a really good film...if you want good Cronenberg flicks check out Videodrome, Dead Ringers, Existenz, and Naked Lunch....

Scanners was so cult! haha I loved that movie. It has Michael Ironside who has always played awesome villians. Anyway, David Cronenburg's movies are always so fucking out there. He's definitely one of the strangest directors. Check out his pre-scanners masterpiece- They Came From Within, about a sexually transmitted parasite. IT IS SO DISTURBING.....
