Hi Steve...

I took your recommendation to listen to Dalis Car and
I think it's quite interesting music.
(still looking for the Jethro Tull's A album).

What other albums featuring fretless bass can you recommend?....

Have you heard anything by Steve Bayley ?
He has some interesting works with Victor Wooten
in the Bass Extremes project...

regards,
Hakkikt

If you like those, definitely check out an album called Killowatt by Kazumi Watanabe, bassist is Bunny Brunell. Killer fretless, trust me, it's killer.
I'm gonna check out that album. I forgot about him, he's a master too.
Have you heard the CAB album? Brunell on bass with Tony MacAlpine on guitar and Dennis Chambers on drums...
Great jazz album too!

Regards,
Hakkikt

what about Cab (Brunel, Chambers, MacAlpine)?

Kazumi's "Spice of Life 2" (Jeff Berlin on bass) also kicks ass.... just pick up any Kazumi Watanabe CD (except for Dandy, which is a piano-acoustic guitar duo kind of thing).

My fave fretless album is "Visions from the spiral generator" and that's from a totally objective perspective..hmmmm...but just wait and see folks!!!

Self promotion! Self promotion!

hahah, jk. Sounds like a very promising album, indeed.

Tjenis, Vintersorg!

If you like fretless bass then I recomend all of Sean Malones work: Cynic, Aghora, Gordian Knot (mostly stick), Cortland + he has played on lots of albums but theese are the ones I have heard and they are all very good.

Jaco Pastorius on his own & Wheather report can be worth to check out too, very impressive bass work eventhough I find most of the songs to not be very good but others seem to like them so give it a try!

"The gods are great, I am the greatest" Hail to Vintersorg!

Hey Steve, I heard that you guys with Dragonlord are playing with Nuclear Assault @ CBGBs.
Sounds cool. Definitely wanna go.

I dont suppose anyone's going to mention Tony Levin's Waters Of Eden?
