I couldn't find much info in RC about these guys. I don't venture out of here too often. Been too busy with a baby boy and keeping a two year old entertained.

I went to a local music store and found Organasm and Tripsis for $6.50 each brand new, so I bought blind, only knowing minimal info about these lads. This is actually very good, original music. I'm not usually into those combine-5-different-genres bands, but they keep it fresh.

Anyone else into Alchemist? What's considered their best?

Cheers.

I recommended them for Heathen Crusade once. Not really HC material but it would have been fun. That being said, Organasm owns all.

In fact, I'm going to go dig up that CD now, right now!

On a related note, the Tripsis album cover totally ripped off the thing I do with my fingers to make people cringe :loco:

And damn, my legs aren't THAT dark, I swear.

Alchemist is a great band, progressively-inclined metal band (but not "prog metal")

Their best albums are 1998's Spiritech and 2000's Organasm.

Both 1995's Jar of Kingdom and 1997's Lunasphere are fine. They're just really fracking hard to find anymore.

The 1999 Eve of the War ep (featuring a cover of a song from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds opera) is also fairly good.
