Alestorm's Captain Morgan's Revenge was released.

The band is power/folkish metal about pirates. Its good. I don't consider them the most talented of bands musically but the music is very catchy, and has guitar/keyboard love making sessions of melodic leads. It also has those Gamma Ray/Dragonforce moments of fast tremolo picking of high notes with a rapidly played bass drum. But most of it is chugging along riffs that remind me loosely of a band like Slough Feg. The lead singer has a gritty voice that works well with the music. His singing is more so of a speaking style with some chosen notes for the words, kind of punk like, but not quite.

"overseas we shall rise, searching for treasure all through the night, overseas our quest is done and will be home by the dawn of the sun."

Great band. Lot of fun listening to their shenanigans. I saw them live at a small hole in the wall in Fort Worth a couple of years ago. They were great. The guys brought a lot of energy, fun crowd interaction and they seem to actually be having a good time.

I would have preferred a better video for the song but I guess being on tour makes that more difficult.
