Gosh after listening a LOT of Testament , I'm still impressed by Alex unique style and MAYOR improvement over the years. he's really good

Kinda like the opposite of Kirk Hammett really (actually got better over time instead of worse  ).
I fucking love his leads. His vibrato is fucking sexy, phrasing superb, note choice just perfect and overall command of the instrument is disturbingly good.
Him and Marty Friedman were the two best guys in thrash metal lead playing. No one could even come close to these two guys for having such a unique, identify (unless you count Slayer's pathetic excuses for guitar solos:Puke: )

you should hear his version of Metallica's "Holier than Thou" , his solo is much better than kirk's one

Along with Jeff Waters and the Murph, the trinity of my favourite (metal) lead guitarists.

Alex is just pure awesomeness and he seems like a class dude all around. Would love to have a chat with him one day.

Alex is the man - he seems to be such a great guy as well as a great player.

Oh, +1 to Jeff Waters as well - I always liked him, but have had a bit of a re-appreciation for his playing as of late. Have you guys heard any of the new Annihilator stuff? I'm loving it big time.

I got to see Alex play with trans siberian orchestra this last Christmas. His playing was flawless. I was very impressed.

Love him! I like his earlier "all neo-classical" style better. Now especially, he seems a lot more blues based.

One of my favorite solos he did in a testament song has to be "The First Strike is Deadly" on the re-release... soooo amazing. That one jazzy descending line in the second part. UGH. that made me get into jazz and fusion.
