ALICE IN CHAINS has announced the second leg of their North American headlining tour, adding Austin, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Antonio and more to a run that begins with five arena shows with GUNS N' ROSES on June 23. The tour includes a second New York City date on July 26 following the immediate sell-out of their July 25 show at the Beacon Theatre. ALICE IN CHAINS has reportedly been working on a new studio album, but there have been virtually no details revealed yet about the project. Guitarist/singer Jerry Cantrell told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that the band starts from scratch every time it makes a new record. "You should start from a zero every time," he said. "You've got a blank canvas, and you and your band are in the room and there's the canvas and there's no other pictures of the old albums hanging up. You know, those are put away in a closet somewhere, so you're not thinking about them or drawing from them or trying to repeat them or whatever. It's impossible to do that. That is what it was, now what do we do?" ALICE IN CHAINS' last album, "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here", came out in 2013 and sold 62,000 copies in its first week of release. The disc was the band's second with singer/guitarist William DuVall, who joined in 2006 following the 2002 death of original vocalist Layne Staley.
