saw the doc film Kurt & Courtney. A theory presented was Courtney Love hired or conspired w/ El Duce to kill Kurt Cobain... interesting movie... anyone hear anything more about this rumor?
Most believe Courtney Love had El Duce killed off because apparently he knew too much about what really happened to Kurt.
El Duce died under very mysterious circumstances.He was run over by a train.Reports were, he passed out drunk on the railroad tracks but some believe he was drugged & put there to look like an accident.The last person he was seen with was a close confident of Courtney's.
El Duce apparently was going to be talking to various press boasting his story about being hired by Courtney to kill Kurt for her.Anyone who knew El Duce(and I did) knows he was not the most credible person around. He was usually full of shit talking about the stuff he boasted about. Plus he was such a drugged out lush he wasn't above passing out on railroad tracks.
How ever his death was so strange & when you take into consideration Courtney is an unstable psychopath herself it makes you wonder.She used to live here in San Francisco where I live and all though I never knew her,I know lots of people who did & every last one of them absoluetly hates her guts!The main reason she left S.F. was she burned alot of bridges & there's alot of people out here who want to kill her.
I interviewed her first Husband Falling James Morling of the band the Leaving Trains.He thinks Courtney killed Kurt but he thinks El Duce's story is bogus.
can you believe El Duce was only 35 when he died??He looked like he was 60!shows you what excessive alcahol & drugs will do to you.He was one funny mother fucker though!

No I haven't seen Courtney lately but i'm sure she'll be anothr rock n' roll tragedy sooner or later.My friend Suzanne played keyboards in band she was in with Courtney,Kat from Babes in Toyland & Jennifer Finch of L7.Courtney once called Suzanne's parents telling them their daughter had died for no reason at all!
Yes I have alot of El Duce stories.One of my claims to fame was putting on a black hood & jumping up on stage to sing "4F Club".Duce was too wasted to do the song himself.
I tried not to become too closely associated with him since he was trouble with a capital "T"! He wasn't such a bad guy when he was sober but he never stayed sober for very long.
I knew these teenage Metal groupie chicks that were going to a Vio-lence show that the Mentors happened to be on.I tried to warn them to stay away from El Duce,but they went to the show early being the first ones hanging out in line.Duce aproached them & began saying alot of nasty profane stuff & may have even pulled his dick out(I wasn't there so I don't know) and they of course got really offended & began cussing him out to wich he was booming with pride over.
The whole band stayed over at my house one night after a show!It wasn't my idea!My speedfreak ex-roomate brought them all over with out consulting with me!I wanted to kill him!I was terrified Duce was going to get beligerant & trash our house & shit & piss all over the floor!
Suprisingly it was a peaceful stay as they were gracious to have a place to crash.It was X-mas time & Duce was sitting on my bed with drunk bloodshot bug eyes wearing a santa claus hat telling alot of funny stories & how to be a real man & how to keep women in their place.We were up all night partying.
Duce was even funny in his sleep the way he snored! It took 4 people to peal his fat ass up off the carpet as he wouldn't wake up when they had to split to travel to the next town.
I got nastier stories about him but he must've been the ugliest most drugged out decadent rocker of all time second only to G.G. Allin!(Well definately uglier than G.G.!)

I remember THE MENTORS used to play in southern cal alot. I never did see them live, only on that VHS tape TALES FROM THE PIT tape #4, That El Duce was one crazy dude. And now they have a tribute band? Will wonders never cease? *lol* Prolly not...
Went & saw the Womentors last night.Turns out a couple of old friends of mine are in the band(I should've guessed!)Guess what?I've been recruited to be a male slut back up dancer for them so I will be doing future shows!!One of the other guys dancing for them plays Kurt Cobain.
It's definantely a female Mentors with the roles reversed degrading & sexist towards men!
