Allergic to progpower shirts?

Has anyone else had any trouble with this? I've always heard things about how you should never put on a new shirt without washing it first. However, year after year I see everyone putting on their PP shirt asap. This year I thought I’d do the same.



-_- well I've been dealing with an allergic reaction to the shirt for something like two weeks now.



Has anyone else experienced this with a T-shirt? What did you do to get over it? I've already gotten a allergy shot, but it doesn't seem to have helped any.

Pretty sure. I don't recall a lady of the night having her way with me and I don't think I'm allergic to shaking the hands of metal heads. Orginally I thought it was caused by the heat during Therion's set on sat, but it would have went away by now if that was what it was.

So the only other thing I can think of was I had reaction to something the new shirt was processed in, the ink or some such thing.

I'm not trying to put anything down about the shirt or anything like that. I just wanted this little bit of info out there for others to consider so no one has to deal with it at next year's progpower.

Depends on where you are getting the "rash". If you're getting a rash at the collar, I highly doubt you'd be having a reaction to the ink.

Clothes are processed in all kinds of chemicals prior to shipping. (This is with damn near any clothing place from mail orders to Spencers to Target) So it could be from the inital chemical process. Most places don't wash shirts prior to screening.

I've never had any issues with new shirts, other than them stinking like hell.

Maybe it's a combination of things from while you were wearing the shirt. This happened to my best friend everytime she wore a particular sweatshirt while working out at the gym. Apparently the type of material, mixed with sweat, and heat (which opens up your pores.. coldness closes your pores, hence goosebumps) caused her to have a skin reaction for several days afterwards, but only where the sweatshirt was touching her skin. I'm not certain what she did to overcome it, I'll find out and reply when I know. If you worked up a good sweat, or were really hot (like you said you were during Therion), the combination of something in the shirt could have reacted with your skin. Apparently it's still in your skin, so maybe try a skin rub/cream for allergic reactions like Calamine or something else with an AntiHystamine in it. Also take some Benedril and Ibuprofen which should help with the reaction and any swelling or inflamation you might have.

Hopefully that helps a little. Again, I'll find out what my friend did to take care of this and I'll let you know.

Try removing the Strato logo from yours with scissors and see if there's an improvement.
