So, yesterday I posted about my recent purchase of the new Iron Maiden DVD "En Vivo!", but that was not my only package that arrived this week. I also received my Overkill "The Electric Age" CD (I'll review that soon - but needless to say it's great) and a copy of the new Alter Bridge "Live at Wembley" DVD/CD (Blu-Ray) pack with their show from last year's European Tour.

Not sure how many Alter Bridge fans are around here, but I'm a pretty big Tremonti fan, he's one of my favs on guitar and I much prefer Alter Bridge when compared to his other band Creed, but anyways.

It's another wonderfully shot and mixed concert DVD. Mark Tremonti's tone is god like, both his distorted tones and cleans. One of the best rock tones going these days (just a personal opinion - no one else has to agree).

The pack comes with 2 DVDs and a cut down audio version of the show (the DVD has 21 tracks, the CD only 14) with the concert on DVD 1 and a tour documentary on DVD 2 (I've yet to watch this).

But once again - another great concert DVD - nicely shot without the constant angle change a second type editing common these days. The audio is spectacular. Highly recommended if this is your sort of thing.

Great band, so much better than Creed. I think Tremonti and Kennedy are a match made in Heaven. Kennedy himself is also quite the guitarist with a very similar tone.

Agreed on the match made in heaven. Tremonti and Kennedy over Tremonti and Stapp any day of the week. As for Kennedy's skills on guitar, he's most likely always been a good guitar player, but I think being with Tremonti how can one not get even better. I suppose I would too if I had Tremonti playing along side me night after night. :)
