Alyson Avenue - Changes

Old band of current Nigtwish singer with a new effort. Everything is good but the new lady's voice just isn't doing it for me. She can sing ok but I don't feel her melodies are that spine tingling. The band itself is awesome though utilizing crunching melodic guitars and fat production very close to the amazing Treat from last year. Whole album is on YT. This is the best song for me and the lady's best performance.

I wouldn't blame the singer. Alyson Avenue's songwriting is the limitation. It was that way when Annette was the singer as well. You could tell she was good, but they never really let her shine.

To my ears, this new singer is fairly close to being as good as Annette, at least if I compare her performance to earlier Alyson Avenue performances. Comparing her to Annette in Nightwish would be unfair.
