Amazing movie score studio diary video (Sibelius, ProTools, midi VSTis and editing...) :
in-depth video of the making of an orchestral movie scene soundtrack, from songwriting in Sibelius to handing it to big-shot producer making it sound better (MIDI VSTis proper choice and humanization...), to recording it with an actual orchestra...
It's in French with no subtitles AFAIK, but by watching and listening you can figure things out anyway.
There are several parts (2 posted so far), and you can see a guy writing the score for one movie scene with Sibelius, then handing over this project to his studio sorceron friend who has all those VSTis and is gonna make it sound better (MIDI humanization, proper choice of VSTis, etc...). Then they hand this "preproduction" to the movie guy and record a real orchestra, and finally do some overdubs, arrange some final details and voilà.
Watch this stuff it's pretty awesome, especially part 2.
