Greetings people!
I'm here to point in the direction of these few bands that have got some new material out. Check them out if you will!
Vile Utopiaworks in the realms of industrial and ambient music. Think SunnO))), Laibach, Lustmord, Atrium Carceri and even on a jew occasions a touch of Jesu and you probably won't get it wrong. Having recently put out two new albums, the more rythmic soundscape1, featuring 4 tracks and circa 20 minutes of music and the ever-so-slightly droning ambient 30-minute ambient piece soundscape2.
InHuman Audal Experimenttaks ambient and drone to a whole new level. Think "Flight of the Behemoth" or even those minimalistic epics by Moss, multiply the lenght by two-or even threefold and you got yourself a winner. The album "The Black Hours"features only three songs and yet clock somewhere aroun 3½ hours. This music is more akin to a horror-movie soundtrack than anything else.
Godduskis what happens when you start meshing together that nasty sound Incantation delivers and mesh it with the atonal melodies and note-patterns that can be found on Deathspell Omega's latest albums. Four songs and approximately 20 minutes of black metal with a touch of death added to the mix, just for the sake of it is what you get when you look at Exultation of Self-Inflicted Scars.
Obsidian Monolithplays slow, pounding, droning doom with slight influences from Black Sabbath and Electric Wizard. Long songs, lyrics about witchcraft and droning riffs. What more can a man want?
Check them out and keep checking for more updates and albums!
Comming up soon:
Horst - Listen: Billy Pilgrim Has Come Unstuck In Time (drone/sludge/doom)
Several albums from the noise/drone-group Irrumator
And a few splits if all bodes well.
