Fuck, post got deleted. To summarise all the shite I just lost;
Ah, well, I think it's a great album. Has a few stinkers (Self, Fall) but overall it's wonderfully consistent (and not in the samey-feel sense) and sensitive. Lyrical depth far asides from self-pity and thematic sense push the intelligence of this album forwards. Martin Cock has a competent aggressive/clean voice, but absolutely shines with his melodic clean singing. Tracks like Song For The Suspect, Just So You Know, Breathe In Bleed Out, and Shutdown have grand and soaring choruses but not every song follows this predictable formula, as AHC have the sense to mix it up a little. Check out Effigy 23 or Americunt Evolving Into Useless Psychic Garbage to see the extent to which American Head Charge range their music. Definately one of the better bands in alt./nu-metal, in both music and character, i've certainly gotten a lot more than just my money's worth out of The War Of Art.
