I did this interview with my friend Tomi Koivusaari of AMORPHIS 5 years ago via email when the band's breakthrough album, "Tales from the Thousand Lakes" celebrated its 20th-anniversary.
Now it's been 25 years since this album made AMORPHIS popular and famous all around the world, so I thought to re-post it here, too. The interview contains many interesting and accurate details about those days when the band started to get some name for themselves and becoming more and more popular among metalheads due to their originality and willingness to do something of their very own, music-wise.
