well today during practice my amp starting making really funny noises but only for short moments... so at first i thought it was like cell phone interferance...

then it started making this continuing pulse like a heart beat... unplugged my guitar cable and put it on standby.. no noise.. then i took it off standby and the noise started again... so then i switched cabs and it still makes noise.. so then i switched outlets and still wierd pulsing noise...

the only other thing i havent tried is the cable connecting the cab and the head but i doubt its that....

so any suggestions on what it could be?

its a triple rectifier.. recently retubed, but this just started today....

I have seen this happen due to:

-Speaker wiring gone bad
-Bad tube (even though you said they are new, it is possible to get one that goes bad quickly)

Does it happen with all the channels on the amp? If it is only with one channel, something is wrong just there. Probably circuitry I would guess.

Not much of a tech guy, but those are what I have seen happen, guess might be the issue, or experienced.
