Amplitube in real time (Cubase SX 2.0.1)

Can anyone help me. I don't know how to set Amplitube in Cubase SX 2.0.1 to give effects (sound) in real time, while I am playing.

There isn't a way I know of...

I mean, you can enable monitor mode for the track to tweak the parametres and get your sound, but it won't be realtime - about 500 ms latency.

Half a second must be very distracting if you're trying to punch something in. Too bad they didn't add a "live" feature to the software.

I've never used this tool; in fact, I haven't done any computer recording at all. Are there any good recommendations for software to get a basic "on-the-job education" in computer recording?

Lay the tracks down, THEN tweak them, once they are in a mix.

Yes, especially if you're a beginner.

I don't understand your question, Cubase is pretty intuitive.

The only simplier audio recording/mixing software I can think of is the Cool Edit Family.

I can't think of a substantially harder ones either, as far as I'm concerned they're all ripping each other's designs/interfaces. Which is good.

Sorry for the confusion. I have no experience with computer recording software and was only asking for which softwares were easy to learn/operate and get up and running fast.

You click on the monitor button (some kind of speaker, I recall) for the track after you've set up the effect chain.

I did that but nothing happened, how to set that chain? I have one audio track and one efect track with amplitube.

You've placed the amplitube plugin in inserts, right?
