My name's Walter Soto and I'm a dj at my college radio station in New Jersey. I currently have a 6 hour show over the summer every friday night from 7PM to 1AM. The range is kinda crappy, but I do have listeners, even into the city. I've already sent an email to Scott Ian about what I'm gonna say here, but I figured there was no harm in putting it here also.
One of my friends who is a recurring guest on the show has made it his unofficial mission to get Anthrax, specifically Scott, either in the station or on the phone, but on the air in some way. Unfortunately the extent of his efforts is to, whenever we're on the air, to yell into the mic "SCOTT IAAAANNNN!!!" Like I said our range isn't that great so there's no way you guys would hear that.
So basically I'm asking if you guys would be available to come down to the station at some point over the summer. I'd ask questions, you'd talk about projects or whatever, and it would be a good time. If any of you see this and it would be at all possible, please let me know and we can set something up.
Ok cheap plug time: The name of my show is Summer Metal Madness, and if anyone (including the band) is ever in the northern New Jersey area, you can tune in to 90.3 WMSC FM in Upper Montclair and hear my show friday nights from 7PM to 1AM. It's full of all kinds of metal, plus debates (such as "standards for hotness in women"), Porn of the Week (my 2 co-hosts work in a porn store), and various other randomness. Next week, the 28th, there's the possibility of having Kittie in the station. So like I said, listen in and rock on. The request line is 973-655-4256.
