I was watching Classic Album "Number of the Beast" on VH1 Classic and listening to Steve Harris talk, I was thinking that his voice sounded familiar for some reason, then it came to me.....

Steve Harris sounds like the Geico Gecko.

Hahah he does a little but his accent is much less "posh" compared to the Gecko hehe. Still can you imagine it? Ol Steve in the sound studio...recording bits heh.

Geico is an insurance company here in the U.S. One of their commercial campaigns is this CGI gecko who talks with a very English accent.

Go on YouTube and check out their caveman commercials..they're a riot. And I hear they are being turned into a t.v. series, too.

I just had a listen and he sounds exactly like Steve!! I find it bizarre that they made him English if he's advertising an American company. Same way I find it bizarre that we have Australian style commercials for car insurance over here!!

Also I was watching 4400(a series on Sci-fi) and in the script they had one of the characters mention that to help him think he had The Trooper going through his head to get his brain working again.

When Steve was younger, maybe... his accent has thickened over the years... back when he was doing 12 Wasted Years, I would agree more.
