just got the new CD - "Hell is Empty and The Devils are Here"

there are some serious black metal fans here - so, what do you think?

It's alright.

Some of the grim vocals are shitty. I haven't fully absorbed it yet.

Anyway.

On a more serious note: I don't know if I'd consider Anaal Nathrak black metal. It just doesn't sound like it. Anyway, I think its a great album; But Domine Non Es Dignus is my personal favorite by far.

Domine was pretty good. but i'd say this new one is better. the riffs are more varied, the vocals more varied (the guttural stuff is pretty nice), and drums sound a little more organic.

as to whether they are black metal: i don't really care... though i think they tap into the mindset that underlies black metal....

But I just found out the new <code> isn't coming out until fall. How am I supposed to wait that long for one of the best two black metal albums of the year?
