I don't understand it.
Why are people upset when Paradise Lost changed their sound, but noone is angry about the fact that Anathema (or Amorphis) have fucked up their music

Shouldn't "big" bands be free to change their music whenever they want to? Only "small" bands (these that cause no mass hystery) have this right?

Explain!

I fail to understand what the hell that CD is called "Fine Day to Exit." Anathema makes a masterpiece like "Judgement," then follows it up with that shit??

Go figure...

I dig all eras of Amorphis. My ideal mix of them would be from Elegy. A bit of rock, metal, and psychadelic. It's like this. Yes bands change thier sound. If they didn't they'd probably put out shitty heavy albums. Obviously they do different albums cause they are staile doing the other stuff, or at least feel that way So either like it or not. Some of the bands put out brilliant albums like Amorphis "Tuonela" and some put out complete and total shit. If the band is going to change, I at least hope to really feel the honesty in thier music when they do it. Anathema "Judgement" is a good album.

yEZ, mike thats true if they do it well, who carez...

But listen to the new oZZY and you know its fucked.

Like I said if you like something if it's different you'll also like it cause it's a good album in addition to different. . If it's half hearted. Then it's obviously not. I only like the new Ozzy some. If it's different and you arn't into the style to begin with then of course one would have instant problems with it. PS I know who you are lol!!!!! If you keep slamming Ozzy I'm going to put my unused Ozzy sticker on your Jackson.

hehehe
