Thoughts on this amazing player?
Andy is by far my favorite guitarist, his playing is technical, emotional, and full of feeling & melody. Aside from his lead work, his rythmn skills are equally as good, and he also written some of greatest riffs in metal.

Speaking of Andy
Chris if you read this Im staying in Hollywood the 7th,8th,9th of May for the King Diamond shows at the HoB, so you better plan on attending at least one dude.
You know how to get a hold me.

You've summed it up pretty nicely yourself...
I first heard Andy on Death's great "Individual Thought Patterns" album and was immediately like "whoa, what's that? Who's that?". One simply cannot remain indifferent to his awesome sense for melody and harmonizing. What I like best about him is that he's instantly recognizable... I remember when I bought At The Gates' "Slaughter Of The Soul" CD (another masterpiece!) and when I spinned it and reached track 3, the style of soloing on it was eerily familiar to my ears. Of course, Andy was my first guess, which was confirmed by a glance at the credits in the booklet... He has a great vibrato (just like every great guitarist), very wide and I like that... Anyway, there's nothing else to add but :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

p.s. damn, would I like to lay my hands on that Caparison! :yell:

Chris...Im curious where your loyalties with the King stand?
Them? Abigail? Voodoo?
Hey Zac,
Them will always be my favorite, after that it would be Abigail, but I have to give Kings newer stuff a better listen because it's pretty cool!!!
Chris.

I remember first seeing that video and being blown away by my first exposure to the King man. THEM is easily my fav. Abigail, Conspiracy, The Eye, Abigail II follow it up. Andy's playing is indeed very inspirational on albums like THEM. Man that dude has some tasty leads!
