I went to his exhibit in the National Scottish Gallery yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of a lot of early material, which is a welcome deviation from the usual focus on his pop-art era.

Anyone else a fan?

I'm not a fan of Andy Warhol, but I saw an exhibit of M.C. Escher's woodcuts here in San Jose, CA, and I am a fan of his. It was amazing.

I saw some Andy Warhol at the art museum I went to today. A big ugly green andy warhol head and some big painting of a gun.

There was also a lot of really dumb "art" throughout the rest of the museum. It takes more than a guy painting different colored lines vertically or horizontally over 3 decades to impress me.

there's some pretty dumb stuff at the carnegie museum of art in the "modern art" section. will and i will probobly go there the week after next when he's here, though, since we didn't take any pictures of the fucked up stuff last time.

there's an andy warhol museum in this area. eh.

and i fucking love escher.

yes, this was a "modern art" museum, NUTS TO THAT

and the giftshop was full of completely normal things twisted into some sort of art deco wundertoy

Although I was really sold on an "orange scented pencil", but it was ~$2, feh!
