Whoah....War is over sounds surprisingly aloy like the new Porcupine tree...with lower vocals. Sounds great though, even better than PT.

The intro to the Gravity sample sounds just like 3:27 in From Within and 4:02 in "hole"...But it still rocks! I guess that type of melody gives them their character. It's seems a little repetitive, but I'm the sure the album will be one of the best of the year, if they keep on proving to be as brilliant as the rest of their albums have....

Though it kinda sucks that an ex-proclaimed "metalhead" keeps on finding music like Anekdoten, Yes, Sinkadus, Don Caballero, and King Crimson to be better than any metal album ever released...Or ANY album for that matter....And it seems that Anekdoten will keep the flame of greatness burning....

While Don Caballero are great, I can think of plenty of metal albums that are far better, like Maudlin of the Well's three releases or even the new Ephel Duath. But in the same vein as Don Cab, Dysrhythmia are a very good math rock / metal instrumental band.

I just got an e-mail from the folks at lasercd, they said the new Anekdoten album will be available to pre-order as soon as the band has a set date when manufacturing and distributing will be completed. They're expecting it to be available to ship around nearfest (in just about a month).

This is definitely an album I'll be ordering ASAP. The samples are nothing short of amazing, and the album promises to be just as solid throughout.
