Dear friends, I've build a website/tribute to Angus Young. Are there many fans of this small man around?
I'd like you could help me to find pics, interviews and other stuff which I could publish. Feel free to contact me, the url is THIS!

I am actually not really into them that much it's just I am fascinated that they could actually write music/songs. In someways bands like these make me want to stop playing.
Their songs are really simple three power chord (1, 4, 5 hehe) songs in the panatonic blues scale for the most part. Angus' lead playing is somewhat impressive to me, but not AC DC's compositional abilities. Some of their songs make Smoke on the Water (by Deep Purple) song complicated.

It has nothing to do with simplicity it's how bands came up with songs/albums they wrote. I am a fast/clean player and it's goddamn boring and you could give me 50 grand to write an album with great songs and still could not do it.

What constitutes a well written song for you? To me, it has to either produce an atmosphere, hold my interest with not too much repitition and not too much simplicity, make me want to headbang, blow me away with technicality, sound interesting to me via being aggressive or dark, etc. Examples of well written albums: The Karelian Isthums, Nesphite, Lamentations (by Solstice), Paranoid, Annihilation of the Wicked, Spirit the Earth Aflame, The Sullen Sulcus, etc. Poorly written songs or albums: Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple), Wild Thing (Jimi Hendrix), a lot of songs by Unleashed, a lot of bedroom black metal, As Flittermice As Satans Spys (Darkthrone), most metalcore, etc. Of course, there are a lot of intangeables that factor into the equation, too. It's hard to put it all into words. And of course, it is all completely subjective.

Dude...jesus fucking christ. Does EVERYTHING have to be fucking technical and UNSIMPLE to be good to you?

Anyway, I'm closing this cuz it's off-topic?
