Anneke quits The Gathering

Terrible news. But actually, this kind of explains her answer when I asked if The Gathering has been working on new material and she responded, "Yeah, they've been working on some new songs." Clearly this has been planned for quite some time, especially considering the announcement of her solo project on the same day. It will be interesting to see where that and The Gathering end up.

sad news for the fans, but for me...I tried hard to like that band, I still cant choose what kind of music these guys do exactly, pop? pop-rock? goth-influenced-melancholic-pop? I still dont know...

"goth-influenced-melancholic-pop"??? hahahaha where exactly have you heard goth in the gathering? and for you, what is goth?
