Check this, why? Is the first thing I said. Though on the upside, Glenn Hughes is helping that rug wearing Kevin Dubrow write for the next QR disc.
He'll also be singing background vocals....
What an odd combo. I guess they are tight...

anyway the news?
QUIET RIOT vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Frankie Banali are pleased to announce the group's line-up for 2006. Joining the group on guitar is axe slinger Tracii Guns, formerly of L. A. Guns and Brides of Destruction. A new bass player will be announced shortly.

The newly revamped QUIET RIOT will enter the studio in January to record new songs for their next studio release, the first new material from the band since the release of "Guilty Pleasures" in 2001. Look for QUIET RIOT on tour in 2006!

Hmmm.... I don't know man. "Metal Health" was a pretty catchy hair release and I dug it for a while, but I got bored with it and their other releases were pretty bad.

Whatever became of some the more obscure hair bands? Shotgun Messiah, Slik Toxik, and Dangerous Toys for example?

Slik Toxik are no more, they put out two more records after their debut, I the USA we were lucky enough to only hear the first...

Shotgun Messiah? Tim Skold now plays with Marilyn Manson, he's their bass player... Last I heard the singer of Shotgun has a band, which the name escapes me right now.... He did do 20 Questions with Metal Sludge check out
www.metalsludge.tv/ and check out the archives....

Dangerous Toys still exist, at least part time, though they haven't released anything worth while since Hellacious Acres! In fact if you're a Shadows Fall fan, you should pick up their dvd. Jason McMaster doing Teasin' Pleasin' with them in Austin!

they (QR) just held auditions here in L.A. for one day only. The biggest thing they kept saying is if you DON'T live in L.A. don't apply. Wondering how this is going to go, last time I saw Kevin his vocals needed much help.

They are best of friends. Kevin can be seen on Hughes' 2004 DVD "Soulfully Live In the City of Angels" lending back-up vocals on 2 or 3 of Glenn's songs.
