Hey Mick, remember the way our lovely Garda Siochana handled the 2002 "reclaim the streets" protest. That was another one of those chaotic days!
Also, you gotta love the government, John O Donoghue resigning over his expenses, ridiculous budget cuts and as you mentioned, the rally in Dublin with the Riots.

this country is falling apart - were having it horrific with the recession - only yesterday aer lingus announced like 500 jobs to go (for most of you 500 jobs is nothing) but in consideration to irelands population and jobs are going left right and centre its a pretty big deal.

i mean...look at brian cowen - not too long ago he was our minister for finance and he made a heap out of the budget and banks & lost us millions - pensions and everything went to shit, job losses left right and centre, dell and intel and hp planning on pulling out of the country ....what did the government do? they made him the FUCKING taoiseach or ireland (prime minister) - were really living in a banana republic

people need to be executed for retarded decisions - i wish Charles Haughey was still alive and could run this country again - i know i was only a kid when he ruled but...well okay he was a criminal who took a lot of illegal money from the banks and he dined with american gangsters but may god bless him and let him keep doing it he managed to pull in the celtic tiger into ireland from all that wining & dining he done with criminals. the current government is just living in his legacy and are making a fucking muck out of it

Dead on alright. They are ridiculous, but then again, thats why they only got 15% confidence vote from the Public. Don't forget Charles haughey and his involvment in the Gun smuggling too. What a Taoiseach in fairness. Can't see Brian Cowen doing that, or owning his own private Island!
