That list means nothing. Most of those artists won't even be on it when they do it again next year.
I guess that's why the list says "today", and not "ever". They do say in a couple of spots that "If this list out last year this person would be higher/lower."
I thought it was interesting to see the type of people making waves in the industry, particularly Outkast. They seem to be more important that I thought they were.

I've barely heard of any of them. Who the fuck are The Flaming Lips and what kind of a band name is that? And how can a band with such a ridiculous name be #1 band in America?
If the list at least included bands such as Bon Jovi, Kiss and Aerosmith it would at least be slightly less totally not even worth reading.

I liked how they ignored Creed and Nickelback, the 2 biggest bands in the entire world probably, simply because they sell loads of albums and get played on the radio a lot.
Madonna doesnt write her own stuff. Nor is she a band. And she needs to kiss girls to get any attention now. So I dont think she can actually be considered important. Perhaps if they listed the people who wrote her songs and produced her albums I would agree.
Anyway, Creed and Nickelback should have been on that list in place of 2 others. I dont know which 2 because I cant be bothered checking the list again
