ANTI-MORTEM - New Southern

Anyone into these guys? They're sometimes described as "Black Stone Cherry meets Pantera" but I don't hear a whole lot of Pantera in their sound. More Black Label Society but with better vox IMO.

I think they're quite good "mainstream" metal, with good riffing and catchy choruses. The singer makes me think of a young Chuck Billy at times. I enjoy the album quite a bit overall.

Bought a couple of tunes from emusic as I had $2 remaining for the month. Sounds like Hellyeah mixed with Reload era Metallica.

This is much better than these IMO. Because I don't give a damn about Hellyeah and think Load/Reload were pretty much crap.

Vocal wise there is a definite Stephen Pearcy influence. Especially during the chorus of 100%.
