My band needs a bassist and a vocalist at the moment, we're practicing in Kingston right now, and should be playing out a good bit before the summer is up, provided we get a vocalist before then.
As far as the bass goes, we need someone capable of playing pretty demanding stuff, with thier own transportation and gear. If you can do both bass and vocals (and you don't suck), that would be great. You could also have input on writing and arrangements as well.
As for what we want in a vocalist, we don't want any goddamn metalcore or screamo type vocals, but we aren't dead set on a standard death growl either (but it has to be aggressive). If you can write intelligent lyrics (not gore or tough guy Pantera bullshit), you could get involved in the lyric writing as well.
Some influences include: Hate Eternal, Death, Vader, Behemoth, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, etc.
