I pretty much listen to all types of metal (Trying to stay away from metalcore for the most part, but if you have a unique metalcore band feel free to share it.). So yah. If you have any metal song/artist recommendations, I would love to hear them. Preferably anything that isn't too generic. Thanks!

Underrated here on the forum, or underrated elsewhere?

Underrated and unheard of in general. And thanks for all the suggestions guys! Only band I've heard of was corrosion of conformity (and they rock) but I can't wait to check out the others. Thanks again!

Whoa, big list. :-D thank you so much. Appreciate it.

Oh, yeah. Grindcore is awesome. And I'll look into crust punk - I've only heard of it a few times but I'll check it out. But besides that, the only kind of -core I really enjoy is thrashcore. Not a huge deathcore/metalcore fan....oh, and stupid question - but how did you get that list of bands at the bottom of your post? And thanks for the recommendations everybody!

deathcore/metalcore nowadays isn't even close to being actual hardcore punk, so avoid it. some good crust bands are:

Warcollapse
Anti-Cimex
Hellbastard
Disrupt
Disclose
Anti-Product
Amebix
Axegrinder
Gloom
Gauze

and I made that myself using MS Paint.
