Any opinions/samples from these bands?

Tyr
Balphegor
Kampfar
JBO
Schandmaul
Haggard

All have been confirmed for Wacken and I basically know nothing about them.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
maybe you mean Belphegor? maybe not though. I can;t remember what they sound like, but they are pretty "fun" deathish black metal if I remember right

Heard a lot of good things about Tyr's "Eric the Red" album, but I also heard they have a new one out or soon! I know I heard them a couple of years ago (also on RC) but I'll be damned if I remember what they sound like.

This Kroda song on myspace sounds :kickass:

I own "Eric the Red", but never got around to listening to it. I approve of Haggard and Kampfar. The others I don't know squat about.

WTF is JBO? Sounds like a sort of fitness program.

Kampfar's first release is fucking great. Their newest release is okay, very interesting.

Tyr is one band I can't get into. It's like it's too melodic and too catchy. I'll listen again when I get the promo of their new album, other than that I'll just say they are okay, but not for me.

Belphegor is okay, interesting, but I never want to put them on.

Kroda is great. Never listen to it, but great nonetheless.

Has this post been useful to you?
1 - Not at all
2 - Mildly
3 - Somewhat
4 - A fair amount
5 - Don't know

Belphegor is high quality black/death. Their 2006 effort, "Pestapokalypse", is one of the finest albums they've put out (if not the), and I highly recommend it. I'll upload a sample in a sec, guv'nor!

Edit: Upload'd

Listening to that album at the moment, it arrived in the post on Monday for me to review. Not too bad at all.

Cool. Am I the only one who get a slight Hate Forest vibe in some parts of "Sanctus Perversum"? I know they're not very similar at all, but some parts of this song really reminds me of what Hate Forest probably would've sounded like if they added some leads and slower parts.
