I don't know who it is, but it sounds pretty damn good. I tried some search techniques of my own, but came up empty.

Yeah I was surprised I haven't heard this or couldn't recognize it. Pretty kick ass from what I can hear (yes, I tried googling the lyrics too! haha).

I googled ever unique phrasing that guy posted, and came up with nothing. Only thing close was a band called Sacred Steel. I checked their lyrics on darklyrics.com and got no match.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be something self-produced and "unreleased". It would be an interesting way for a new retro band (Icarus Witch, Wolf, Overlorde) to generate an interest their music, leaking a song of their own production (claiming it's some underground 80s band) and posting on high-traffic message boards looking for feedback.

That's how I would do it, if I were in charge of marketing a new retro-band to an already-established metal fanbase. If fans can accept your song automatically as being great 80s metal that they missed, it only makes you that much more attractive when fans find out you are brand new and spear-heading the revival of classic metal.
