ON October 19 the release of the re-recording of Stay Hungry is coming out. They are calling this album Still Hungry. The whole of stay Hungry with bonus tracks. Then there is a DVD coming out soon after that too. Go and get it!!!

Here's my review of seeing TS live yet again last month that I posted on the TS board.......

The opening riff to What You Don't Know hit at 10:45, and they walked off stage at 12:31. A full 1 hour 46 minutes of TS kicking Poughkeepsie's ass!
The set list in order was :

What You Don't Know
The Kids Are Back
Stay Hungry
Destroyer
I Am, I'm Me
You Can't Stop Rock 'N Roll
The Fire Still Burns
Shoot 'Em Down
We're Not Gonna Take It
Ride To Live, Live To Ride
I Believe In Rock 'N Roll
Under The Blade
The Price
Burn In Hell
drum solo
I Wanna Rock
Come Out And Play
S.M.F.

After seeing TS at the civic center in Poughkeepsie 4 times in late '81, summer '82, 12/82, and 7/83, tonight felt like coming full circle for me. I've seen quite a few shows at the civic center in the last 21 years, but I always considered the civic center to be Twisted Sister's venue, and the other bands that played there were just borrowing it from TS. Tonights performance reinforced to me exactly why I feel that way. Twisted Sister and the mid-hudson civic center is like steak and a baked potato, strawberries and whipped cream, a DVD and a 5.1 surround sound home theater system, you get the point. They just go together perfectly. Thank you Twisted Sister for last nights show, and I hope the 5 of you enjoyed it as much as I did.

What exactly is the story with this album? They just went into the studio and re-recorded everything? I heard about this on Eddie Trunk's show and it intrigued me. Did they stay true to the originals? Or mix it up? Inquiring minds want to know.

They did stay true to the original arrangments. The only thing thet did was go in,play and make it heavier.Mark Mendoza is producing. The whole deal is that they never liked the way it sounded. This time they went in and recorded it the way it was meant to be recorded. You can goto Twistedsister.com and hear some samples. There are also extra songs on there too. Wow, I thought I'd catch shit for posting about anther band on Anthrax's board!

Dammit, why the hell are you posting about another band on the Anthrax board?! Just kidding, Mike. Sounds like it could be a pretty good album. I have always liked Twisted Sister since I first heard We're Not Gonna Take It on MTV. Oh, and we talk about all sorts of stuff, other bands included, on this board, so nobody should yell at you for it. Unless you start talking about how great Bon Jovi or the Backstreet Boys are. We'll give you all sorts of shit then.

Hey Scott, that sounds cool.Did you hear Anthrax's version of Destoyer on the Twisted tribute cd?Yes this "new" album is going to kick some mean fuckin' ass. Can't wait for this and the new Anthrax disc.Later.

I have not heard it. Is that a pretty good disc? Tribute album quality can be pretty much all over the map, so I usually don't pick them up. But I can make exceptions.

Mike-

Are you from Colorado? I went to high-school with a dude named Mike, but I'm not sure if his last name was spelled the same as yours.

The tribut album is pretty good. There are some versions of songs I can do without though. The best ones for me are the Anthrax take on Destoyer,Overkill playing Under the Blade.Lit doing I Wanna Rock.Motorhead doing Shoot'em Down.Nashville Pussy doing The Kids Are Back,And a few others.Oh I for got, Twisted Sister doing AC/DC's Sin Cityand You CAn't stop Rock And Roll with Sebastian Bach singing.

After listening to the samples, I immidiately pre-ordered it. Aside from being heavier, Dee's vocals are so much clearer. As for TS and Anthrax playing on the same bill, I know of 2 times in the last 3 years that they have. Although I didn't have the pleasure of seeing either show.
