Take every Dream Theater CD...roll it into one......add top notch production, and some hard rock elements, a few new twists, and add it all together.

Just go to the site and sample for yourself

http://www.dreamscape.de

You want the samples for END OF SILENCE

Thanks Drum...listening to them right now...pretty damn good...first impression, a lot of DT influence, but a kind of Vanden-like refinement...very cool...think I will order from The End right now...

Any opinions on their earlier albums anyone?

Their previous album "Very" is very good! Highly recommended if you are into prog metal!

Thanks for the tip, Alex. Most definitely into prog...and, as I have said before, good prog is hard to find. In my opinion, only POS is blazing some new ground in music, but I'm not sure too many people are listening. Spock's Beard definitely had an original twist on prog when they came out, but even their style is becoming kind of cliche as other bands jump on the "prog-light" bandwagon.

Aside from growing up being constantly exposed to Floyd and Rush, my prog tastes kicked in with Fates, then Dream Theater. I am a big fan of Shadow Gallery, POS, Spock's Beard, Pagan's Mind, Zero Hour, Sym X Threshold, Vanden Plas, Enchant, etc.

To me, Dreamscape certainly sounds like a welcome kick in the ass. While they may not exactly be blazing any new ground, they certainly sound like competent enough songwriters and arrangers to come up with an original sound and songs all their own. Can't wait to check out the album in it's entirety.

As always...rock on!

Holy crap! I just listened to some of the samples on the website, and I'm definitely ordering the CD right now! They have a great sound, and the quality of the music sounds excellent.

It's good to have a place to come to when searching for new music to listen to. Thanks guys!

I also just listened to some of the samples and purchased the CD immediately. They sound incredible. Counting the days until the CD arrives!!
