Anyone ever heard of Avian?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry guys I'm just a little excited. I MIGHT get to go to the Powerfest. Oh, and guess what? I'll get VIP upgrade for FREE!!! So only 2 general admission tickets for 35 then they will be upgraded for FREE!

And about Avian... I believe they are.

I ask because I ended up buying the song on Napster as a prayer song. I blasted it in my church last night but my ears weren't catching the lyrics so I just wanted to make sure I was blasting godly words through the speakers.

Lolol, they might have Christian undertones...the songs titles are intriguing.

Got my answer. Yan Leviathan replied to my email stating: "We are not a Christian or religious band but we are all in the same belief that we want to be as positive as we can be and avoid the darkness. That's probably why we're not more popular ;-)"

I admire his honesty and still love the sound of their music. I just won't blast it on church speakers anymore.

What do you mean 'blast it on the church speakers'?
You guys get around and listen to music at your local church?

Metal archives, aye... a nerd's guide to quick results when it comes to metal.

<--- For the record, I had The Path artwork as my avatar *before* this thread was posted :p

I think Avian gets viewed by some as a Christian band for the reason Yan stated, plus the fact that their first vocalist (Lance King) is an overt Christian who proudly sells a lot of Christian Metal through his record label.

I'm a giant Avian fan. For quite some time, I held the proud distinction of being one of only two people in the world to have attended every one of their concerts :headbang:

In addition to their new The Path EP, they also recently re-released their first album with three previously unreleased tracks:

Me being the other. And no, they are most definitely not a Christian band. Lance is Christian, but Yan is not. Yan is somewhat spiritual, but in no way is he religious and what not.
